Do check out our new road fatality mapping for the USA giving details of the 369,629 fatalities on US roads between 2001 and 2009. Use the 'share' features to tweet a link to the current map view, send a URL by email, embed a link to the map view in a website or even embed a slippy map in your own website of blog.*

*You can easily embed a map for an area of interest in your own website or in Blogger. To do this first select the map view of interest, then click on the share icon and copy the text in the box below the 'embeded' heading and paste it into your website. Adjust the height and width as appropriate. It isn't yet possible to embed maps in Wordpress.com blog.

Feature request: ability to display just one crash type, or turn a type on/off.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will be adding more mapping styles in future and the ability to drill into the data. I am glad you have found it useful.
The big map looks identical to population density. Can you use kernel density estimation and make a heat map of deaths/capita to show which areas are more or less dangerous than average?
please check site layout. I cannot see share button (the middle column is very narrow). my spec 1980x1200 Opera 12, IE9, firebox3
I've adjusts the iframe sizes for this blog post so that you can now view the share buttons on the right. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
